We’ve all arrived safely home after a great weekend in York at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 
We performed as band number 2 from 18 and placed 13th in what was a tough competition against the best bands across the UK. We have achieved something great – competing in such a prestigious contest and coming away from our performance being proud of all the hard work we achieved to reach this stage and is something we will remember. It was an honour to compete and we have come back smiling after enjoying our performance and every moment the weekend brought us 
We’d like to congratulate all the bands who put on fantastic performances throughout the weekend, and huge congratulations to our fellow North West competitors Blackburn & Darwen Band for placing 2nd, and Tyldesley Band for achieving 8th place 
We remain a strong 1st section band and will continue to do our best. Watch this space as we see what the future holds! Cheers
