Haydock make return to the Spring Festival in Birmingham

Saturday 2nd May 2026

Yesterday we returned to the British Open Spring Festival for the first time since 2006! 🎵

It was an early start for us, performing Un Vie De Matelot as band number 2 out of 20 ⚓️

We enjoyed our morning which was filled with tram rides, rehearsal room selfies, and listening to bands after our performance which were also broadcasted very well live online! We’d like to congratulate everyone on their excellent interpretations of the piece, especially to those placed in the top 4 👏🏻

Although we placed 15/20, we enjoyed our performance and we’ll continue to work hard as we look forward to next year’s performance!

We’d like to congratulate our friends at Rainford Band on their incredible 2nd place in the Senior Cup which is an amazing achievement 🏆 And congratulations to our neighbours Eccles Borough Band on their amazing 6th place in the Senior Trophy 👏🏻
