The Haydock Band were awarded 5th Place at the Wychavon Festival of Brass 2023. All the pieces were fantastic arrangements from past Eurovision Song Contests by our great friend and composer in residence, Adam Taylor. Lisa Forbes, Principal Cornet, played an excellent solo. Mark Quinn the band’s MD was well pleased with the performance, albeit the adjudicators placement of 5th was a little disappointing. Nevertheless the band enjoyed the weekend and celebrated in style after the contest concluded.
The band will now look forward towards Christmas and giving an entertaining programme for all the events in the festive season
